A no-frills rock ’n’ roll machine, the Melody Maker has long been celebrated for its lightweight feel, raw tone, and straightforward design. By the mid-’70s, these guitars had developed a cult following thanks to their punchy voice, fast necks, and unmistakable Gibson character. This 1976 example delivers that honest, player-focused vibe with plenty of vintage mojo.
This guitar is all original (OG) and comes with a Hardshell Case (HSC). It is a Factory Second, as marked from the factory. Condition is rated at 8.5/10 – Very Good, showing typical play wear and finish aging, light buckle rash, hardware patina, and a few dings on the back of the neck from use over the years. The frets show approximately 50% life remaining. All wear is consistent with age and use, and there are no cracks, breaks, or structural repairs.
