This Murphy Lab ’64 SG Standard Reissue is an elite, museum-grade recreation of one of Gibson’s most iconic SGs—faithfully capturing the look, feel, and tone of a pristine mid-’60s original. Crafted by the Gibson Custom Shop and finished by the legendary Murphy Lab, this guitar features ultra-accurate aging, premium tonewoods, and vintage-correct construction throughout.
Finished in stunning Pelham Blue with Light Aging, this SG delivers just the right amount of vintage character—subtle checking, gently aged hardware, and authentic patina—while remaining completely unplayed. The result is a guitar that looks and feels like a perfectly preserved vintage example, but plays like a brand-new Custom Shop masterpiece.
This guitar is all original (OG) and comes complete with its Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and Original Hardshell Case (OHSC). Condition is a true 10/10 – Unplayed / Excellent, with no wear beyond the intentional Murphy Lab aging.
