Lovies Guitars is excited to present this 1973 Martin D-35 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar finished in Natural. The Martin D-35 is one of the most iconic dreadnoughts ever produced, known for its powerful low end, shimmering clarity, and distinctive three-piece rosewood back construction. Built during a highly regarded era of Martin production, this early-’70s example delivers the bold, balanced voice and vintage character that has made the D-35 a studio and stage favorite for decades.
This D-35 produces a deep, resonant bass response paired with articulate mids and sparkling highs, offering excellent balance across all six strings. The dreadnought body provides strong projection and dynamic range, making it ideal for strumming, flatpicking, and singer-songwriter accompaniment. Its aged tonewoods have developed a warm, open character that only decades of natural playing can achieve.
The Natural finish shows tasteful vintage aging, highlighting the guitar’s long history while preserving its structural integrity and exceptional musical performance.
This guitar is all original (OG) and comes complete with its Original Hardshell Case (HSC).
Condition: 9/10 – Very Good. Light finish checking is present throughout. Very light pickguard lift is visible. Moderate buckle rash is present on the back. Slight seam finish checking is present along the rear center seam. No cracks or repairs. Overall, a very clean and well-preserved vintage D-35 with honest cosmetic wear and excellent structural integrity.
