The LG-2 is one of Gibson’s most beloved small-body acoustics, prized for its warm, woody voice, dry vintage character, and exceptional responsiveness. Built during Gibson’s golden era, this early-1950s example delivers the unmistakable tone and feel that have made vintage LG-2s favorites among songwriters, recording artists, and collectors for decades.
This LG-2 produces a wonderfully balanced voice with focused lows, rich midrange warmth, and sweet, articulate highs. The smaller body size offers excellent comfort while maintaining surprising projection and dynamic range. It excels at fingerstyle playing, roots music, blues, folk, and singer-songwriter applications where nuance and vintage character are paramount.

Condition: 8/10 – Good. The bridge has been professionally reset, and the center back brace has been reglued. The guitar is notably missing the back center strip. Importantly, there are no cracks present. Overall, this is a structurally solid vintage player with honest wear and professional maintenance consistent with a guitar of this age.
