The early-1970s Les Paul Deluxe occupies a special place in Gibson history, blending classic Les Paul construction with the distinctive voice of Mini-Humbuckers. Known for their articulate response, focused midrange, and exceptional clarity, these guitars have become highly sought after by players and collectors alike. This 1972 example has all the character and mojo that only a well-played vintage Gibson can offer.
Built with a Mahogany body, carved Maple top, and Mahogany neck, this Les Paul Deluxe delivers the rich sustain, punch, and unmistakable warmth that have made vintage Gibsons legendary. The Mini-Humbuckers provide a unique tonal character that bridges the gap between full-size humbuckers and single coils, offering exceptional definition while retaining plenty of power. The original pickguard is no longer present, and all of the potentiometers have been replaced with the exception of one original tone control pot. This guitar comes complete with a Non-Original Hardshell Case (HSC).
Condition: 8.2/10 – Good. Good overall condition for its age. The finish and hardware exhibit heavy vintage aging, along with substantial buckle rash on the back and heavy wear on the back of the neck from years of playing. There is noticeable fret wear consistent with use. Structurally solid and ready to continue making music.
