Description
Lovies Guitars is excited to offer up this 1989 Steinberger XL2 4-String Electric Headless Bass Guitar with a White Finish! Ned Steinberger came from a fine arts background, focusing on sculpture, to create highly influential instruments, particularly the headless guitar and bass. The Steinberger Bass is a radical departure from previous instruments, not just because of the headless design with tuners at the tail end, but because of its successful use of composite materials including graphite-epoxy blends. When these appeared in the early 1980’s, they were rapidly adopted by new pop bands and are heard on many recordings of the period. The design itself, introduced in the L2 bass, won many prestigious design awards, and patents, in the late 1970’s and early 1980s. This guitar is in excellent shape with several minor indents and marks, finish checking and light hardware tarnish, rated at 9/10. All original and free of any breaks, cracks, or repairs. Included with this guitar is an original gig bag, a complimentary sample of Fret-Not, our preferred fretboard cleaner, check it out at fretnot.net and a complimentary Cooper Standard Fin guitar pick—our favorite for enhanced control and reduced movement! Thank you for considering this exceptional instrument from Lovies Guitars.
