Lovies Guitars is Excited to offer up this 1997 Martin Limited Edition HJ-28 Natural Acoustic Jumbo Guitar! A rare artifact from Martin’s past, the HJ-28 is a quadruple-0 size guitar that Martin only built between 1992 and 2000. This example, from 1994, has a stunning, played-in tone not dissimilar to an HD-28 but with a different shape and feel. Like an HD-28, the HJ-28 features herringbone purfling and hand-scalloped, forward-shifted X-bracing, giving it a singing sustain and impressive volume. It has good response in the bass range but not boomy and crystal clear trebles as every good Martin guitar. The sound is delicate and precise, the guitar reacts very good to the slightest dynamic variation.The HJ-28 is one of Martin’s most under-appreciated models and we’re thrilled to have one in the shop! Great Shape with a couple large indents on the top, binding wear, a few minor indents and marks on the body and some indents on the headstock, 8.5/10.Has an added strap pin.
