The Roger McGuinn model was a special limited run of just 1,000 instruments worldwide, honoring the Byrds frontman and his iconic jangly 12-string tone that defined an era of folk-rock.
The guitar is based on the 370/12 platform, featuring three scatterwound vintage-style single-coil pickups, semi-hollow construction, deluxe binding, triangle inlays, and McGuinn’s signature blend of Rickenbacker craftsmanship and unique tonal voice. This model also incorporates an onboard active compressor circuit, designed to capture McGuinn’s distinctive sound right at the source.
This example is all original (OG) and comes with its Original Hardshell Case.
Condition is 9.5/10: It shows light play wear, with a few superficial scratches on the top (bass side near pickguard), minor paint blemishes around the pickups, and some light finish reaction under the hardware on the body. No cracks, breaks, or major dings—overall a very clean and collectible instrument.
