Based on the design of Taylor’s 35th Anniversary Series baritone models, the Baritone-8 Blackwood 400 Series LTD gives you the full depth and resonance that only B-to-B tuning can deliver. Its 27″ scale makes playing the Baritone-8 easy, so you won’t find yourself having to adjust your playing technique very much, and the added octave strings on the third and forth strings add a vibrant sparkle to its bassier voice. And with touches like Tasmanian blackwood back and sides, a Western red cedar top, and a maple “fishbone” rosette, you’ll be proud to show off the Taylor Baritone-8 Blackwood 400 Series LTD for life.
The Taylor Baritone-8 Mahogany is a unique instrument, even in the fairly limited world of acoustic baritone guitars. Like any B-to-B-tuned baritone guitar, the Baritone-8 Mahogany gives you a low tonal range that’s great if you have a deep voice or are looking to add tonal complexity to your music. Baritone-8 Mahogany also features a pair of octave strings on the third and forth strings, which adds some of the sparkle of a 12-string that makes it perfect for solo playing, without the becoming too sonically complex for use with a full band.
While the Baritone-8’s exceptionally rich voice stands on its own, the very special Baritone-8 Blackwood 400 Series LTD has premium tonewoods that look as good as this guitar sounds. Tasmanian blackwood back and sides are topped with Western red cedar – top-notch tonewoods for sure, but you’ll appreciate the beautiful look for life. And because we’re talking solid tonewoods built with classic Taylor craftsmanship, the Baritone-8’s tone will enhance wonderfully with age.
Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar’s native tone, the Taylor Expression System uses patented Dynamic Sensors to capture both top-wood and string vibration with incredible detail. The Taylor ES system was created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer Rupert Neve. Unlike standard onboard electronics, the Taylor Expression System is seamlessly integrated into the design of the Baritone-8 Blackwood 400 Series LTD from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or can be set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound. This guitar is in great shape with pickguard marks, several indents on the top and a couple minor indents on the headstock and neck, rated at 8.5/10. All original and free from any breaks, cracks or repairs.
