Right away you’ll notice the smaller size of your Les Paul Deluxe’s humbuckers. These newly designed pickups produce a punchy and focused tone that cuts the air like a knife through butter. Your volume knobs boast a push/pull coil-splitting feature to get a hot single-coil tone out of these two pickups. Your neck pickup brings in a pleasant warm sound with plenty of body, and your bridge pickup will bring in more edge and bite.
Your Les Paul Deluxe’s body is comprised of a maple top and a rich and dark mahogany body. Mahogany bodies place plenty of emphasis on your lower and mid frequencies, and offer loads of sustain. Maple adds an intriguing and slightly rounded brightness to your notes. Gibson combines these two woods together in the Les Paul for a reason: You’ll consistently hear resonance, presence and depth.
You’ll never have to worry yourself with a tuning pedal ever again — your 2015 Les Paul Deluxe features the onboard and non-invasive G FORCE automatic tuning system. With just a single strum, each of your strings will find their tuning with ease and simplicity. The door is also open to alternate tunings as well. This amazing and reliable system can also be calibrated to an external source, like a slightly out-of-tune piano, so you can spend more time focusing on your performance and not your axe’s intonation.
The push/pull pots on your Les Paul give you a bunch of room for more sonic exploration, but this axe also has a 15 dB boost switch for those times when you really want to kick up the volume. Whether you’re about to jump into a solo, or if you want to end your set with a huge wall of sound, this seamless switch makes getting the extra noise out as easy as can be, even if you’re in the middle of a song.
Another sweet feature on this celebratory guitar is its adjustable zero fret. Having an adjustable zero fret means that you can fine-tune the tightness of your guitar’s action more easily. This baby also utilizes a three-point setup for super-smooth action and unbelievable fretboard playability.
