A true example of Gibson Custom craftsmanship, the Byrdland Master Model represents one of Gibson’s most refined and elegant hollow-body designs. Originally developed in collaboration with jazz legends Billy Byrd and Hank Garland, the Byrdland has long been admired for its exceptional playability, sophisticated tone, and luxurious appointments. This special James Hutchins Master Model takes the legendary Byrdland platform to the highest level with meticulous construction and attention to detail from Gibson’s premier craftsmen.
Featuring a fully hollow Maple body, carved Maple top, and a comfortable short-scale neck, the Byrdland delivers a warm, articulate voice with incredible responsiveness. The shorter scale length provides a smooth, effortless feel while maintaining excellent clarity and note definition. Equipped with premium Gibson humbuckers, this guitar produces everything from rich jazz tones and warm cleans to bluesy warmth and sophisticated overdriven textures.
The Vintage Sunburst finish beautifully highlights the figured Maple construction and elegant archtop styling. From the multi-ply binding and ornate appointments to the meticulous craftsmanship throughout, this Byrdland is a stunning representation of Gibson’s historic hollow-body legacy and Custom Shop expertise.
This guitar is all original (OG) and comes complete with its Original Hardshell Case (OHSC).
Condition: 9.9/10 – Excellent. Near mint condition with only some very light scratches on the front. Otherwise exceptionally clean and beautifully preserved.
