Lovies Guitars is excited to present this 2018 Gibson Custom ES-275 Thinline Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar Satin Baroque Gold Finish! The Gibson Memphis ES-275 Thinline delivers classic hollowbody sound and modern playability. This semi-hollowbody guitar is patterned after Gibson’s iconic L-5, which is often considered the holy grail of archtops. That said, its more compact dimensions and maple center block offer extended playing comfort and better resistance to feedback. Experience extreme playability, by virtue of the ES-275 Thinline’s Les Paul-style neck. Enjoy a clarity and richness that spans every genre, thanks to MHS II humbuckers. Beyond that, Split Parallelogram fingerboard inlays and a satin nitrocellulose finish give the ES-275 Thinline a striking, eye-catching appearance.
If you’re a Gibson aficionado, the ES-275 Thinline’s neck will feel immediately familiar. Players were asking for additional frets and better access to them. Instead of starting at square one, Gibson looked to their very own Les Paul for inspiration. The ES-275 Thinline neck is fitted with 22 frets and set into the body to give you easy access to each and every one of them. And you will positively revel in the rolled neck binding. It feels just like a familiar, well-loved guitar that you’ve been playing for years.
The ES-275 Thinline’s MHS II humbucking pickups were tailor-made for hollowbodies. Expect the clarity and nuance of the best vintage PAF-style pickups, which balance wonderfully with the round tones the guitar’s body naturally elicits. For full tonal control, you have separate volume and tone controls for each pickup, along with a 3-way toggle pickup-selector switch. Under the hood, the ES-275 Thinline’s MTC Premiere control assembly is handwired with matched 550K potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors, ensuring you’ll hear the mellifluous voice of your hollowbody in all its glory, even when you back down your volume.
The Gibson Memphis ES-275 Thinline wears a striking satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Nitro finishes — standard back in the day — are significantly thinner than today’s polyurethane finishes, allowing the guitar to “breathe.” Nitro finishes not only look vintage-y wonderful; they also enhance the instrument’s tonal qualities. This guitar has the look (and feel) of a lovingly cared-for classic — one that will only improve with age. This guitar is in great shape, with a light blemish around the switch, pickguard marks, some minor finish checks, binding indent by the knobs, f-hole and switch, and minor indents and marks on the body and headstock, rated at 8.5/10. All Original and free from any breaks, cracks or repairs. Included with this guitar is an Original Hard-Shell Case and a complimentary sample of Fret-Not, our preferred fretboard cleaner, check it out at fretnot.net! Thank you for considering this exceptional instrument from Lovies Guitars!
