Lovies Guitars is Excited to offer up this 2020 Gibson Custom 60th Anniversary ’60 Les Paul Standard with a VOS V2 Tomato Soup Burst Finish! 1960 was a pivotal year for the Les Paul Standard. Over the course of 12 months, Gibson changed neck profiles twice, from the original C-profile to the new SlimTaper, then to an even thinner SlimTaper. They also updated colors and knobs for a brighter flashier appearance in the middle of the year. This guitar represents that mid-year,1960 edition with that first SlimTaper neck and the new gold reflector knobs.
This limited-edition 60th Anniversary model celebrates the iconic 1960 Les Paul Standard, which has shaped music across genres for six decades. The artisans at Gibson Custom Shop have proudly recreated the experience of owning a priceless original thanks to painstaking attention to detail and tireless study of vintage examples, closely following the three distinct versions seen within 1960. Each version is available within this historic limited run of instruments, inspiring players in different ways. Included is a 60th Anniversary switch plate, a commemorative Certificate of Authenticity booklet and a vintage replica hardshell case.
