Lovies Guitars has an Rockin’ 1978 Music Man Sabre II in a Black finish. Music Man’s Sabre models have the straight forward approach to both styling and tone. They look very much like a cross between the Stratocaster and Precision Bass. Equipped with 25-1/2″ scales and six strings, these axes speak mainly blues and rock. Sabre II comes with a solid, double-cut body made of alder. It is flat on top and equipped with a bolt-on joint. Standard hardtail bridge has string-through-body construction and six adjustable saddles. Neck is bolted to the body and it is topped with a 22-fret maple fingerboard. 1.6″ radius, black dot inlays and synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard. Overall, the tonality of this guitar is bright. Almost more of a Super Tele than a Strat replacement. The active controls do provide a lot of versatility; you can get some gnarly twang from the bridge and sparkly warm tones from the neck pickup. 40 years old this guitar is in fantastic condition, there is a light rub on the back as well as a couple of minor indents. 9.5/10, MINTY – ALL Original! No Breaks, Cracks or Repairs! Original Hard Shell Case and Papers included!
