What happens when you combine a Les Paul (arguably the most famous electric guitar of all time) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (undeniably the most famous NASCAR driver on the circuit today)? You get one absolutely stunning and highly desirable collectible guitar. Another fantastic Les Paul guitar, this one was designed with Jr.’s beloved red #8 paint scheme. Earnhardt Jr. has autographed the body of this one. The back of the guitar features a sketch by Sam Bass of the #8 Buweiser Monte Carlo alongside a decal of Dale Jr.’s signature. This guitar has chrome lug nut volume and tone controls, carbon fiber faceplate, chrome hood-pin tiedowns and wires to attach the guitar to its included Simpson safety restrai nt strap, and Dale Jr.s signature inlaid in the ebony fingerboard. 300 of these guitars were made with Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s #8 red Budweiser car when he began racing in Winston Cup and this one happens to be 023/300! A bit of trivia: Earnhardt Jr. gave an identical guitar to Dave Grohl, lead-singer of the popular rock band the Foo Fighters, just two days before the death of Dale Earnhardt Sr. As a tribute, Grohl played the guitar at a few select shows in the weeks following the tragedy. At the end of each concert, he would hold the guitar high in the air, which garnered a massive round of applause and cheers from the crowds. This collector’s piece is in fantastic shape, Near MINT!
