Lovies Guitars is offering up this Left-Handed Gibson Studio Les Paul previously owned by Thomas Erak of Fall of Troy in a Vintage Sunburst Finish! Thomas Erak is the lead guitarist and lead vocalist from Mukilteo, Washington based prog-rock/post-hardcore band The Fall of Troy. Thomas is endorsed by Gibson USA & Orange Amps. He used to provide vocals for the now defunct Seattle hardcore band, The Hills Have Eyes. His father played as a session musician with The Eagles, playing the Bass guitar and touring with his side project. As a guitarist, Erak claims to be influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page and Billy Corgan. As a writer, he claims Kurt Cobain is his biggest influence.
The Les Paul Studio is built with a carved maple top on a modern weight-relieved mahogany body, also with its fast-playing ’60s slim taper mahogany neck and tune-o-matic bridge with stop-bar tailpiece. A new feature that makes the guitar even more versatile are the push/pull knobs which allow you to split the coils of the 490R and 498T humbuckers, to get some chimey single-coil tones out of the Les Paul. This Axe is in Excellent Shape, especially for a touring guitar, however there are a few finish marks on the body, a couple minor dimples on the sides of the body, a minor indent near the knobs, a couple dimples on the back, the headstock has a couple minor marks on it, missing a pickguard and the case is heavily road worn, easy 9.5/10!
