For these new P-Basses, Fender went back to the drawing board with updated radii for more historically accurate body shapes, new vintage-inspired finishes, and a classic logo that harkens back to Fender’s of yesteryear. Leo Fender wasn’t a guitar player himself, so he didn’t really know that guitars weren’t supposed to have maple necks. Eventually, the blonde maple necks became a Fender trademark. This Precision Bass has a nicely balanced maple neck with a modern “C” shape and a fast-playing 9.5″-radius maple fingerboard. Players from all genres have embraced the P-Bass, and it continues to be a favorite in the studio and on stages everywhere. This instrument is in fantastic condition, just has some pickguard wear and some light buckle rash on the back.
