Built by Gibson, the F5-G continues the legendary F-style mandolin tradition, offering premium craftsmanship, powerful projection, and the unmistakable punch and chop that have defined bluegrass music for generations.
This F5-G delivers a focused, cutting voice with excellent note separation, strong midrange presence, and clear articulation—perfect for ensemble playing, recording, and traditional bluegrass performance. The carved top construction and F-style body design provide both volume and tonal complexity, while maintaining the fast response mandolins of this caliber are known for.
The Sunburst finish highlights the carved top beautifully and gives this instrument its classic, timeless F-style aesthetic.
This mandolin is all original (OG) and comes complete with its Original Hardshell Case (OHSC).
Condition: 9/10 – Excellent. Medium pickguard scratches on top. Light finish wear on the treble side of the top near the trapeze. Light surface scratches and a few small indents on the back. There is a small ding on the bass-side top of the headstock and a minor finish burn on the tip of the headstock. Overall, a solid and well-preserved player-grade example.
