Lovies Guitars is excited to present this Lefty! 1995 Fender Custom Shop Custom Classic 1957 Stratocaster Masterbuilt by Gene Baker Electric Guitar finished in Sunburst. An extraordinarily rare and highly collectible Fender Custom Shop masterpiece, this left-handed Custom Classic ’57 Stratocaster was Masterbuilt by the legendary Gene Baker during the early years of the Fender Custom Shop. Combining vintage-inspired styling with Custom Shop refinements, this guitar represents one of the finest examples of Fender craftsmanship from one of the Custom Shop’s most respected Master Builders. Left-handed Masterbuilt Gene Baker instruments from this era are exceptionally difficult to find, making this a true collector’s piece as well as an incredible player’s instrument.

Built with a premium Alder body and Maple neck, this Stratocaster delivers everything players expect from a great ’50s-style Fender—bell-like highs, punchy mids, articulate lows, and effortless dynamic response. The trio of Custom Shop single-coil pickups produces classic Strat sparkle, glassy cleans, bluesy warmth, and unmistakable vintage character. Every note rings with exceptional clarity while the comfortable soft “V” neck profile provides an authentic late-’50s playing experience.

The beautiful Sunburst finish highlights the timeless elegance of the Stratocaster design. Unlike later production Custom Shop models, this early Gene Baker Masterbuilt instrument reflects the attention to detail and hand-built craftsmanship that helped establish the Fender Custom Shop’s world-renowned reputation. Complete with its original Certificate of Authenticity, this is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Fender Custom Shop history.

This guitar is all original (OG) and comes complete with its Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and Original Hardshell Case (OHSC).

Condition: 9.7/10 – Excellent. Very clean for its age. There are two light dings on the back along with a few small touched-up dings within the black portion of the Sunburst finish. Overall, this is an exceptionally well-preserved early Masterbuilt instrument.
