The 2003 Gibson Custom Shop Firebird Acoustic was built to commemorate the 2001 fire that struck the Gibson factory in Bozeman, Montana. This Gibson has a Spruce top and absolutely beautiful quilted Maple back and sides. The quilted Maple is top quality and rivals the best you can find. The tortoise pickguard with engraved Firebird stands out nicely. The neck is made of figured Maple and the Ebony fretboard is decorated with luxurious flames of mother-of-pearl and abalone inlays. Gold Gibson tuners and Firebird inlay on the headstock. This guitar is in minty shape with some light checking on the top, a few micro marks and a broken case latch, rated at 9.7/10. All original and free of any breaks, cracks or repairs. Included with this guitar is an original hard-shell case, a complimentary sample of Fret-Not, our preferred fretboard cleaner, check it out at fretnot.net and a complimentary Cooper Standard Fin guitar pick—our favorite for enhanced control and reduced movement!
