Without question, the J-45 is one of the most beloved acoustic guitars in the history of modern music, and the icon of Gibson’s round-shoulder dreadnaught acoustic line since its introduction in 1942. This 2011 J-45 Custom is a celebration of the original. Combining vintage appointments with several modern features, the J-45 Custom delivers the renowned tone of classic J-45s, while adding refined finishes that complement its fundamental design, including a new floral abalone and mother-of-pearl headstock inlay created by Gibson’s master luthiers. As a rare J-45 with rosewood back and sides, this guitar has tonal depth a notch above a lot of Gibson jumbos. The Premium AA Sitka spruce top is the perfectly paired soundboard for the richness of the body. Handcrafted abalone details and herringbone binding give this instrument an air of subtle elegance, and a rosewood bridge with Tusq saddle ensure stability and great tone for years to come. This guitar is in minty shape with some light marks, rated at 9.8/10. All original and free of any breaks or repairs.
