Lovies Guitars is Excited to offer up this 2017 Gibson Les Paul Custom Peter Frampton “Phenix” Signature Guitar 1954 Reissue with a VOS Ebony Finish! The Peter Frampton Phenix Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar is the iconic guitar heard on–and that graced the cover of–the 1976 classic live album, “Frampton Comes Alive!”. Thought to have been lost in 1980 after a tragic cargo plane crash, it miraculously survived and was returned to Peter over thirty years later, earning the Phenix nickname. The Gibson Custom Shop has recreated this instrument as a VOS Artist model with all of the classic Les Paul Custom cosmetic appointments including an ultra-lightweight mahogany body, gold hardware, Grover tuners and three open-coil Custombucker humbuckers. With a VOS finish for a vintage look, the Phenix Les Paul Custom features a 3-way toggle switch that controls the neck and bridge pickups just like on a two-pickup Les Paul, along with a shared Volume and Tone control. The second set of Volume and Tone controls are connected to the middle pickup which can be used with either or both of the other two pickups. It can even be used on its own when the other two pickups are turned down, making this Phenix-inspired electric guitar highly flexible. MINTY Condition, with micro marks here and there, easy 9.99/10!
