The first semi-hollow electric guitar of its kind, the historic Gibson ES-335 is considered a semi-hollow standard even today. With impeccable sound across a wide range of tonal options, the ES-335 can be found in the hands of jazz, blues, and rock players all over the globe. For 2019, Gibson brings the ES-335 to you with all the same exquisite craftsmanship and detailed appointments that made the original a smash hit when it was introduced in 1958. And as a central feature, it has a satisfyingly rounded “C” neck profile that harkens back to Gibson’s vaunted instruments of the late 1950s. This ES-335 also features a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple top and back, while a maple center block and a quarter-sawn mahogany neck make up the rest of the quality tone-woods used in this superb guitar. In addition, high-grade spruce is used in the bracing to further enhance the rich tone of this seminal instrument. For blazing amplified sound, the ES-335 comes with MHS II humbucking pickups and Memphis tone circuitry, giving you a massive range of stylistic options for performance.
