Featuring a solid Sitka Spruce top paired with solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, the J-40 delivers a rich, piano-like voice with deep bass, sparkling highs, and outstanding note separation. Its jumbo body provides incredible headroom and volume while remaining remarkably balanced, making it ideal for everything from fingerstyle arrangements to aggressive flatpicking and vocal accompaniment. The genuine Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard offer Martin’s signature smooth playing experience with effortless comfort.
