This incredible vintage instrument from Gibson carries serious historical and collector significance, having been owned and played by acclaimed musician Jeff Tweedy. A true early-’60s SG Junior, this guitar embodies the raw simplicity, bite, and dynamic response that made the model a favorite of working players and iconic artists alike.
With its lightweight solid mahogany body and single P-90 pickup configuration, this SG Junior delivers aggressive midrange punch, woody low end, and a raw, expressive top-end bite. It’s the kind of no-frills instrument that responds directly to touch and amplifier interaction, making it ideal for blues, rock, punk, and indie styles.
This guitar is all original (OG) with the exception of an intonation-adjustable bridge upgrade. It comes with its original case (OG Case).
