Lovies Guitars has up for grabs a Vintage 1976 Ovation Patriot with a Sitka Spruce Top and Unique Connecticut Nutmeg finish! The Ovation Patriot is a Limited Edition guitar manufactured in Connecticut, one of the original thirteen colonies. Made in the tradition of the New England Craftsmanship with a limited run of 1776 guitars, this particular guitar is number 770 of 1776 made in 1976! Each guitar is numbered and registered. The Patriot is a premium Ovation acoustic guitar combining the features of the Legend and Custom Legend models. The bracing is Ovation’s latest A-braced pattern for maximum top vibration and maximum sound. The inlays are abalone throughout. The top is book-matched Sitka Spruce. The body is Ovation’s famous Lyrachord roundback design, the product of years of testing. This roundback guitar produces the clearest, fullest, brightest acoustic guitar sound around today. To make the Patriot a distinctive musical instrument they specially stained the top a “Connecticut Nutmeg” to give the guitar a unique appearance. Then an artist added a hand-stenciled eight color design in the style of Early American Stenciled Furniture. After the 1776th guitar was built, the stencils were destroyed. This guitar will never be built again. The Ovation Patriot is Ovation’s contribution to the anniversary of our country! This little piece of history is in Great shape, there are, however, some light scuffs and a couple minor finish cracks near the bridge. ALL Original- NO Breaks or Repairs!!
