Using some of the last remaining stocks of quilted mahogany from “the tree”, this guitar represents the tonal possibilities of a pre-war style D-18 with fancier appointments. Gorgeous fine grain Sitka spruce top with light braces and scalloped brace voicing, Ebony bridge with cream bridge pins crowned with an abalone dot. Quilted Honduras mahogany body with tortoiseshell plastic bindings and fancier side purflings, multicolored 45 style backstrip, Honduras Mahogany neck with Gold Schaller mini tuners stamped “C.F. Martin”, Rosewood headstock overlay with tortoiseshell plastic binding and top surface purflings, Ebony fingerboard with abalone 40 style hexagons and tortoiseshell plastic and top surface purflings, Red Turtle-oid pickguard in a vintage style shape, Abalone soundhole rosette. The guitar speaks quickly and forcefully with a rich vintage style voice. This Amazing instrument is in Fantastic MINTY Condition, having been played only a handful of times! Just a couple super light finish marks near the soundhole and on the headstock and the neck binding is lifting slightly near the nut, easy 9.5/10! ALL Original-No Breaks, Cracks or Repairs!
