José Ruiz Pedregosa (b. 1958) is the only disciple of the Spanish luthier Jerónimo Peña Fernández whose guitars are played by such great flamenco players as Monolo Sanlucar, Manolo Escobar, and Enrique Montoya. He is among the leading flamenco guitar makers in Anadalucia. José’s guitars offer an authentic full-bodied flamenco sound that I would compare to a Gerundino–geart volume and projection. This guitar plays easy and fast, it’s loud and it has a great projection. Basses are round and full and treble dry and crispy. It plays round and sings up to the very last fret. Pure flamenco sound and a truly impressive first class professional instrument.
