Lovies Guitars is offering up a 2020 Fender Stratocaster ’57 Reissue Custom Shop Journeyman Relic in Classic Blonde Finish! Nineteen fifty-seven was a banner year for the Fender Stratocaster. Though the Stratocaster became a runaway hit after hitmakers such as Buddy Holly toted them on stage, Leo Fender’s tireless commitment to excellence led him to introduce a number of improvements to the Stratocaster’s design. The Fender Custom Shop 1957 Journeyman Relic Strats deep-contoured alder body comes in a Journeyman Relic finish, which impart the appearance of years of aging and light use without heavy wear and tear. Sparkling tone comes from three hand-wound ’50s Stratocaster single-coil pickups with five-way switching. Other premium appointments include a quartersawn maple neck with a ’57 soft V profile and small headstock, 9.5″-radius maple fingerboard with 21 6105 frets, single-ply parchment pickguard, vintage white control knobs, American Vintage bridge, and American Vintage tuning machines.
