Lovies Guitars is offering up this Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Southern Rock Tribute with an Absolutely Gorgeous Aged Reverseburst Finish! The Les Paul has been at the heart of many genres of music, but none more so than southern rock. Gibson Custom is celebrating the heart and soul of that heritage with the Southern Rock Tribute 1959 Les Paul, an extremely limited-edition guitar. Proceeds from the Southern Rock Tribute 1959 Les Paul will benefit musicians in need through the Music Health Alliance and The Gibson Foundation. Based on the legendary 1959 ‘burst Les Paul, the Tribute features a stunning maple top with wide ribbons of flame, a special “Reverseburst” finish with a subtle reverse heart in the center of the top, Custom Bucker vintage-PAF re-creations, nickel-plated Tune-o-matic bridge and lightweight aluminum stop tailpiece, a one-piece fingerboard with aged inlays, the full and rounded ’59 neck profile, and a commemorative metal medallion switch-cavity cover.

The first 50 guitars will be hand aged and will be signed by Gibson Custom’s Southern Rock Ambassadors: Dickie Betts, Charlie Daniels, Gary Rossington, Jimmy Hall, and vintage guitar expert Ronny Proler. But whether you go for a hand-aged/signed or non-aged/non-signed version, all of the Southern Rock Tribute 1959 Les Paul guitars include a Gibson Custom hardshell case and a trifold Certificate of Authenticity.

Gibson Custom held an exclusive event at Nashville’s 12 & Porter on May 19 to celebrate the announcement of the Southern Rock Tribute 1959 Les Paul. Hosted by super-picker Leeroy Parnell, the show featured performances by Dickie Betts (The Allman Brothers, Great Southern), Jack Pearson (The Allman Brothers), Gary Rossington and Rickey Medlocke (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Jimmy Hall (Wet Willie), Charlie Daniels, Bonnie and Bekka Bramlett, and more. Artists such as Vince Gill, Larry Carlton, and others also attended the event. #1 & # 2 went to Gary Rossington & Dicky Betts and this was the first available to the public! This Amazing instrument is in MINT Condition, NO Issues 10/10! ALL Original-NO Breaks, Cracks or Repairs. Includes an Original Hard-Shell Case!
