Lovies Guitars is offering up a Super Cool 1965 Gibson Melody Maker D in a Natural Faded Cherry Red Finish! Introduced in 1959, the Melody Maker was Gibson’s flagship entry-level solid body guitar. Initially offered in three iterations– a standard model with a lone single-coil pickup, a 3/4 sized model, and a Melody Maker ‘D’ dual pickup model – The original run of Melody Makers was discontinued in 1971. This Melody Maker is a full scale version with a scale-lenght of 625 mm, the solid 1-piece mahogany neck has a big c-profil and a full 42mm nut width. This sweet lil axe has been fitted with Lollar Picups and Custom Loaded Pickguard and Hipshot Bridge and Locking Tuners. The Original Bridge, Pickguard, Pickups and Tuners are in included. For being over 50 years old, this guitar is in Fantastic shape, however, there are a fair amount of indents on the body. Classic little piece of rock history right here and boy can she rip out some fat tones! NO Breaks, Cracks or Repairs, Includes Non-Original Period-Correct Case!!
