Lovies Guitars is excited to offer up this 1970 Gibson ES-335TD Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar with a Walnut Finish! Like the Les Paul, the ES-335 stands as one of Gibson’s all-time most iconic models. The ES-335 is a semi-hollow guitar which means that it has a solid block of wood running through its center with hollow wings on either side. This construction style maintains the open tone of a hollowbody while helping to reduce feedback. The ES-335 was introduced in 1958 and has remained in production in various forms ever since. The official model designation of this ES-335 is ES-335TDW, with the TD standing for thinline, double pickups and W for walnut finish. ES-335’s like this one from the 1970s are special. For one thing, the trapeze tailpiece gives ES-335’s from this narrow time slot a particular kind of clean sound, find it nowhere else and do anything you like with it. And this particular ES-335 has got a perfect neck profile, as comfortable as can be. This guitar is in excellent shape for its age with exposed tuner holes on the headstock, light hardware tarnish, finish checking, light binding wear and some minor indents and marks, rated at 9/10. Has upgraded tuners and strap buttons and what looks to be a factory varitone and free of any breaks, cracks or repairs.
