Lovies Guitars is offering up this Vintage 1971 Martin D12-28 12-String Acoustic Guitar! Re-created from Martin’s famous D-28, the D12-28 has the flexibility and sound of a 12-string. This Acoustic Dreadnaught Guitar takes advantage of the full tonal qualities of East Indian rosewood back and sides and pairs it with a solid Sitka spruce top, giving the guitar a complex and rich sound. The D12-28 has an ebony bridge, white binding and a multi-stripe on the back. The solid mahogany neck has a black ebony fingerboard with Mother of Pearl Dot inlays. This vintage instrument will satisfy any guitar enthusiast looking for a guitar with a beautiful tone, and the quality you’d expect from a Martin. This acoustic guitar has a 1/8” pickup jack but isn’t fitted with a pickup. In Great Shape, Especially for its age, however, there is a small surface crack above the pickguard, some light pick wear around the sound-hole, a few minor indents on the top, a fair bit of finish marks on the body, binding is lifting in spots, chipping along the edges of the headstock, and some minor indents on the neck, also the Original case has a fair bit of wear.
