The Fender Music Master remains one of the coolest vintage Fender models, prized for its simple design, lightweight feel, and unmistakable vintage character. Originally introduced as a student model, the Music Master has earned a loyal following among collectors and working musicians alike for its unique voice, comfortable short-scale neck, and classic 1970s Fender vibe.
This 1974 example delivers the punchy, articulate tone that has made the Music Master a favorite for indie, garage rock, blues, punk, and recording applications. Its straightforward single-pickup layout offers surprising versatility with excellent touch sensitivity and dynamic response. The Olympic White finish has naturally aged over the decades, giving the guitar the authentic vintage personality only time can create.
To enhance its playability and reliability, this guitar has received several tasteful upgrades including a new bone nut, Grover Deluxe tuning machines, a professional refret, and new pickup and pickup cover. The pickguard has also been modified. The electronics retain vintage components with potentiometers dating to 1973 and 1974, preserving much of the guitar’s original period-correct character.
This guitar comes with a Hardshell Case (OHSC).
Condition: 8/10 – Good. A very honest vintage player showing typical finish and hardware aging throughout. The headstock displays natural wood streaking consistent with age.
