Lovies Guitars is excited to offer up this 1974 Gibson 1955 Les Paul Special Electric Guitar with a Tobacco Burst Finish! Built in 1974, this is the first reissue of the 1955 Les Paul Special that Gibson did. Remember, back in the early 70’s, guitar companies weren’t doing a plethora of reissues the way they do now. Gibson did this one like the original: a Mahogany body with Tobacco Burst on the top, while the back is Natural gloss. This is complimented by a 4-ply black pickguard and black knobs. It’s a great look. It’s also a great player, with a mahogany neck that’s very comfortable, topped with a rosewood fretboard, dot inlays and cream binding. It has the wrap tailpiece, killer sounding P-90 pickups, and all of the vibe you’ll ever need! This guitar is in good shape for its age with hardware tarnish, pickguard marks, several indents and marks, buckle wear, finish wear and exposed tuner holes, rated at 8/10. Has upgraded locking tuners and originals included and free of any breaks, cracks, or repairs. Included with this guitar is a hard-shell case, a complimentary sample of Fret-Not, our preferred fretboard cleaner, check it out at fretnot.net and a complimentary Cooper Standard Fin guitar pick—our favorite for enhanced control and reduced movement! Thank you for considering this exceptional instrument from Lovies Guitars.
