Lovies Guitars is offering up this 1980 Gibson ES-175D Arch Top Guitar in a Timeless Sunburst Finish! The ES-175D is Gibson’s perennial “working man’s” electric arch-top. This dark tobacco sunburst beauty is from the relatively short-lived era when Gibson used a laminated maple neck on these instruments instead of the traditional mahogany, resulting in a slightly brighter overall sound. Otherwise this is a classic design little changed from the late 1950s. The ES-175 is simply a perennial design, a great gigging jazz guitar and superb all-around electric. This instrument is in Excellent Shape, especially considering its age, however there is a bit of finish checking on the top, a couple light marks around the knobs and the switch, a fair bit of buckle wear on the back, sides of the body have a couple minor impressions, a minor indent on the back of the neck and a couple marks on the headstock, 9/10! ALL Original, except for a professional re-fret. NO Breaks, Cracks or Repairs. Includes an Original Hard-Shell Case!!
