Gibson’s L-4 hollowbody guitars are a favorite with jazz guitarists, although the L-4’s deep and sultry tones are enchanting in many different styles. While most jazz guitars are all-maple, this L-4 CES tops a mahogany back and sides with a spruce top, for vibrantly mellow bass notes that still have definition. Also setting this L-4 apart from the normal fare is the Florentine cutaway, which creates a sharp look while allowing you easy access to the upper-fretboard. This guitar is in great shape for its age with smoke odor, light pickguard marks, hardware tarnish, finish checking, finish wear on the bass side edge body and a few indents and marks, rated at 8.5/10. All original with upgraded strap buttons and free of any breaks, cracks or repairs.
